Hey, I’m Kate
I began photographing portraits and love stories in 2002, when I graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration. I wanted to bring the storytelling skills I developed for children’s books out of the art studio and share them with clients everywhere. I took what I learned about painting - and about photojournalism, where I got my start in photography - and created a lifestyle studio to serve new friends near and far.
I’m a photographer by way of illustrator, but I’m also a vocalist by way of Sondheim, and - these days - funeral Masses. I’m a mom to three devilishly smart and funny girls, one snorty pug, and fluffy kitties everywhere. Telling stories is my life, whether it’s with my camera, with my paintbrushes, with song on the stage, or to my sleepyheads at night. Let’s tell yours.
